The Branches of the Bearded Collie Club were formed in 1968. The Midland Branch represents a large geographical area, stretching as it does from Mid Wales in the west to the Lincolnshire coast in the east, and from the Peak District in the north to Gloucestershire in the south. Branch membership is concentrated, naturally enough, in and around the major conurbations of the Midlands.

There are currently around 200 paid-up members of the BCC resident in the Midland Branch area plus a number of members residing outside the area who nevertheless like to join in the Branch events and elect to pay an annual associate membership fee to Midland Branch.
